The Occupy Walls Street (OWS) movement is merely a demonstration of this country’s ever dwindling society.
These “demonstrators” have accomplished nothing at all except waste tax-payer dollars, disrupt the daily lives of hardworking Americans, and give some of today’s youth the deranged notion that trying to change government policy through meaningless acts of misguided protests actually works.
These “Occupiers” have shown me that if I can’t get my way, then I should stop everything that I am doing and sit and whine until I get what I want, without any legitimate solution in order to continue progress, like some child.
Recently, OWS came out with a “declaration” that expresses their views in a written document. However, this document was just another whine to the government saying how upset they are with the economy.
I had high hopes for OWS, but once again they proved that OWS is nothing but a mass of lazy, unorganized, moochers of the American government.
When I heard that this travesty had begun to affect Pembroke, I was in a state of high alert. Pembroke has had a tradition of Patriotism, and I was not to stand by and let this town succumb to the menace that is the OWS movement.
So, I founded the “Patriots Against the Occupy Movement” (PAOM), a Facebook group dedicated to giving those who choose not to tolerate such demonstrations of treachery a voice, to show that this so called “Occupy Pembroke” movement is not welcome and should be done away with. “Occupy Pembroke” has no chance of being successful because this town is full of great people, and great Americans.
There was a time in this country, when work was a way to feed your family and provide a roof over their heads, but now it’s a matter of status. The Occupiers must feel that working at places like McDonald’s is beneath them, because there are jobs out there, the Occupiers simply refuse to look hard enough.
I do hope that OWS shows the nation where society is headed and gives birth to a new era of Patriotism, but for now, I suppose it is up to me and the few patriots left out there to continue the good fight, and to keep America number one!
