Family, students, staff, and many community members knew Carmie Espinoza had won teacher of the year. All joined in on September 27th to surprize Mrs. Espinoza with her big award. Mrs. Espinoza was shocked and was very humbled by the award. Students and staff thought she was very deserving for all her hard work and dedication. Mrs. McDermott secretly wrote a letter to nominate Mrs. Espinoa for the award. Believe it or not the small town of Arlee kept the biggest secret from one of their most loved teachers. All I did was write a letter and look what happened. I couldn't be more proud!" explained Mrs. McDermott. Students made Mrs. Espinoza a sign and did the best job ever keeping the secret. It was a great day for everyone. Congratulations once again!!
