By Connor Halloran

“Everybody came through. Nobody finished lower than fourth” exclaimed Arrowhead boys tennis coach Jeremy Schlitt.
On a windy Saturday at Woyahn Tennis Complex, the Arrowhead Varsity Boys tennis team managed to pull off a first place finish in the Classic 8 Conference tournament with 29 points. Close behind was Waukesha Catholic Memorial with 27 points. Following CMH in 3 rd place was Waukesha South with a total of 26 points.
In the number 2 singles match sophomore Brian Barry made a spectacular comeback to help his team win the tournament. Despite a loss in the first set, 3-6; his outstanding efforts gave him a win in the second set 7-5. He finished his match up with a win in a tie breaker 10-5. The number 2 doubles team from Arrowhead also snatched a win for the Warhawks. Steve Wolfsohn and Luke Sausen won both their sets; one 6-4 and the other 6-3. In the number 3 doubles championship match, Arrowheads Riley Schoonover and Jeff Mahlum blew past their opponents winning both sets 6-3. To sum up the tournament, in the third place number 4 singles match, Arrowheads Eric Hirsch won both his sets 6-3.
Now that the Arrowhead Boys tennis team has the conference title under their belt, they hope the moment stays their way during the state tournament.
