			<description><![CDATA[ <div class='ArticleAuthor'>By Darius Sutton</div><br><div class='ArticleImgDesc'><img style='width:350px' src="http://my.hsj.org/portals/2/data/news_images/8xpbbw3y87_News-Debate1.jpg" /><br /><p><br>JT Wells speaks on behalf of teenage republicans.</p></div>On February 8 in the Broughton cafeteria the Teenage Republicans and  Young Democrats met and debated the War in Iraq, Bush’s new policies, stem cell research and immigration.      “The debate was a jumping point for more political activity at Broughton,” senior and co-organizer of the debate, Cooper Harris said.     The two groups felt that  an intellectual debate would help spark more political interest within the school.     “I am glad everyone came out and hope to see them again,” junior, J.T. Wells,  a  speaker  and founder of the Teenage Republicans, said.     The clubs are already making plans for the next debate, which they hope to hold  in May  in the Payne auditorium. ]]></description>
