By Jacque Mageno

The world is a jungle. High School is there to prepare you for that jungle. It’s a matter of survival and our 8th graders are getting closer and closer to being put to the test. Are you ready to take the challenge? “I’m looking forward to high school because I’m determined to get good grades next year,” says Phoebe Lee. I’m sure many of us can relate, like Gabby Melendez who says, “I’m ready to go to high school because I want to become smarter!” Miguel Bailon is eager to go to a new grade, too. “I heard that the principal is pretty cool.” He’s not intimidated by authority. Kelly Ly say, “I’m looking forward to going to high school to be with my friends and to be able to go somewhere in life.” Not everyone is excited about leaving Jordan. Noel Reynolds tell us, “I don’t want to leave my friends and go our seperate ways. Therewill also be too many responsibilities that I’m not ready for.” How about you? Are you ready for a new environment with new people and a new adventure?
