Williams FCA Luncheon held on November 11, 2008 at the West Monroe Convention Center. The students who attended enjoyed a meal of chicken, rice, green beans, a choice of chocolate cake or cheesecake, and sweet tea. They also enjoyed entertainment from Kathleen Gancayco, a ULM track athlete, the Martin Luther King Middle School Choir, who sang “Bright Side”, a drama performed by the Ouachita Christian Middle School drama department, and a Carroll High School senior and football player, Marcus Mercy, who sang “Flying Without Wings.” They also heard testimonies from Andy Allred, who led the attendees in a cheer learned at FCA camp this past summer, and Tim McGuffie, the basketball coach from Riser Middle School. Hollis Conway, a well-known visitor to Ouachita, presented Athlete of the Year to students from local schools, and a former Cub, Madison Raborn, represented Ouachita High School by winning Athlete of the Year for OPHS! Way to go, Madison! All in all, the FCA banquet was a life-changing event to all who attended. Everyone is excited for next year’s event!
