As the 2008 Dollars for Scholars awards commence, parents and students listen as president Becky Plantinga begins announcing scholarships. DFS awarded over $70 thousand in 87 scholarships to Lake Central students this year.

Assistant principal Mr. Sean Begley will be leaving Lake Central returning to Iraq this fall to rebuild the infrastructure. He served there from December 2004 to December 2005.
