It’s named after Saint Patrick who was the most commonly recognized saint of the patron saints of Ireland. It began as a purely Christian holiday. It also became an official feast day in the early 1600’s. St. Patricks day was first celebrated in Boston, Massachussettes in 1737. Gradually it has becom more of a celebration of Ireland’s culture. On March 17 th all of the students at Meadow Hill Middle School are allowed to dress in as much green as they want, so go all out in green you students! Happy St. Patricks Day!!!!!  ]]></description>
