Just Another High School Play…

By Amber Settles

Amber Settles
The feminie men

There are several reasons to go see a play; however I doubt that one you have had before was to see essentially every high school play ever produced. Not knowing the play these desperate students grabbed a box of scripts and made their own play combined to give us the history of theater. Side splitting laughter all but erupted when the girls staged a revolt and showed the guys who’s the real boss, in front of the whole crowd!
We also had a battle of the great Shakespearians, Bonne Terre history lesson, and a surprise twist ending. Even I didn’t see this coming; Mrs. Douglas was imprisoned by her second in command, Josh Buckner! When she came out on stage his treachery was revealed on stage during this marvelous production.
All the laughter, blood, drama, history, and a great twist; that is in my opinion what makes a really great play even better. The general consensus is that this play was definitely not “just” another high school play but better. I believe those who helped and participated deserve a huge round of applause. Congratulations on a job well done we thank you!
