The social studies department worked in making the door decorating contest possible , with Ms Sherman being the manager of the contest with help from Mrs. Sunset the world history teacher.            During the whole Literacy Week with an exception of Friday, the teachers decorated their doors based on the theme " Our Reading Legacy." Many teachers participated in decorating their doors. "I think the teachers decorated their doors very nicely," said Junior Donia Perez.           "Its a good way to show the importance of literature to students."  The winners of the contest were math teacher Ms. Santos, and intensive reading teacher Mr Mulligan.           "The doors were judged on the theme and how much thought was put into it," said Ms. Sherman.
