By Sarah Fuentes

It's almost 7 o'clock on a Friday night. Most high school students are on their way to cheer on their football team. As they find their friends and sit on the bleachers they wonder what the outcome of the game will be. Will the team win?

This question seems to be on the minds of Central Regional students more and more after last year's football season. We all need the win to regain confidence and to bring back some school spirit that may have been lost. We all hope that our team doesn't disappoint us.

September 19th isn't going to be a normal Friday night for the football team and its fans. The stands are packed with hopeful fans. They all cheer with anticipation as they watch the game unravel.

The game turns out to be a nail biter until the last few seconds of the 4th quarter. The ball is passed with a few seconds on the clock. Everyone is hoping and praying that we can catch the pass and score.

All of our hopes are answered when Charlie Mackiecatches the ball and scores as the clock runs out. Central wins the first football game.

Will they be able to continue winning? We sure hope so.
