By Snowana Addy

On August 19th the beginning of my high school career began. The thought of going into an unknown environment might be awkward but it was the complete opposite. Of course being nervous was expected but the feeling I had once I walked into the school building was unbearable. First bell was News Production with Mr. Stevens. He talked to us about what we would be doing throughout the year. He gave us tips on how we could succeed in his class. Second bell was Algebra 1 with Mrs. Benfield. She also gave us the rules and regulations of her class. We did group work so I got a chance to meet some new people. Third and fourth bell went by in no time. Lunch was next. I always pictured lunch to be the worst half an hour I would ever face. Luckily I had seen some friends from an old school that I recognized. Fifth bell was Mrs. Moore, Physical Science. Her class was the most expecting bell. I made sure I paid close attention to every word she said. Finally, the school day was coming to an end. Last bell was Modern history, which I spent most of my time doing my work so I could socialize before the bell rang. Over all my day was successful. With the help of my teachers and other students I was able to make it through my first day at Withrow International.
