By Tyrice Davis

A few years ago I had moved from Madisonville to College Hill. I wasn’t the best at making friends and the last school I was at; I was there for all my whole life. The new school I was at was called Mt.Airy. It was smaller than my other school, smelled a lot different, and looked entirely different than any other school I have ever seen before. On the 1st day of school I went to the principal because I had no clue of where to go. My principal put me in a class and said, “Follow this class all day and you would be straight.” The 1st bell I had was Math and I said nothing all day. But when I got to my last bell a girl walked up to me and said hi. I was so shy because of her beautiful flowing hair, her cute eyes, and her exquisite figure made me just turn away and say nothing back. At the end of school I walked up to her and said sorry. I said “It was wrong for me to turn my back on you. But it was just that I’m shy and am usually scared of people. She said it was alright. I told her I just moved from Madisonville to College Hill and it might take me a while to make friends. She said she understand cause the same thing happened to me. That day I figured out something. That I shouldn’t be scared to make friends, that I should be move revealing to people and don’t mind those who think unwisely about you.
