Dorm rooms on the Cheap!

http://my.hsj.org/schools/newspaper/tabid/100/view/frontpage/schoolid/1680/articleid/282965/dorm_rooms_on_the_cheap.aspx

By Anita

Now that senior students have hit the time where college is all but a season away, they are looking for places where they can get the necessities for college and dorm room life on the cheap and still have money to spend on having a good summer.
So what are the things that a future college student need? Well for starters bed sheets would be nice. Not to mention that little lap light to put on the side of your bed so you can study late. Other things that may be needed are things like a refrigerator, microwave, bath robes, towels, bath shoes, catties, and clothe hangers.
Senior Lakeisha Finn, who will be attending Kentucky State University in the fall, said that she “will defiantly take a lap top, comforters, crates, and containers” with her to college. She also stated that she “expects to spend at least $600 or more on dorm room needs.”
Another senior, Danielle Logan, mentioned that her computer will be one of the first things to enter her room. She also expects to spend high prices on her dorm room needs as well saying that she thinks she will spend $500 or more.
Of course a lot of things are needed and a lot of money will be spent according to those two seniors but everything doesn’t have to be so costly, and making sure you actually get all you need in time before the store runs out do not have to be chaotic.
To your advantage, there are numerous places where you can actually shop online to receive those things you need. Knowing that some don’t do the whole online shopping, there are a lot of stores that have sales and specials around the fall time. Stores such as Target, Marshalls, Wal-Mart, the Dollar Store (any form of a dollar store), K-Mart, Kohl’s, and even the Goodwill are great places to look for dorm room items.
