“Is Family Guy funny or not”. This is the question asked by some students and their families. “Family Guy” is a cartoon show that has a lot of mature content that is too much for children under fourteen years. Some students think that family guy is a cool show and that all of its content is mostly just making fun of world governments and their leaders. While many students say it’s an appropriate show, some parents and students think that it is a “racial, prejudice, and erotic television show that makes fun of peoples religion, culture, and country” as one student from Kaiser put it.                                                                                                                                                                                                                Marion Howard a resident within South Ridge said “The show is just full of stupidity and nonsense that is probably acceptable amongst others, but for me, it is forever out of my life”. Stephanie Howard, Marion’s younger sister said “I think that it is a great show and that there is nothing wrong with making fun of idols and figures in the world. My sister is so into her religion and culture, I bet you that if they had never made fun of Jesus or God, then she might have liked it”. “Family Guy” has already been taken of the Television networks once for the content it showed and returned on air a few years later. Some families against this show say that they wished that the show had stayed of the television programs. Although it may not sound like an issue for anyone else, it is a large problem among some families who hate the show for the way it makes fun of society, but for others who enjoy the program, it is just another normal day of watching T.V. on the couch. ]]> Wed, 29 Apr 2009 20:08:12 GMT
