Ms. Lello's Got Talent!

By Nicole Wallace

Our school has a new celebrity, and no, it’s not Mr. Tuminaro. It’s Ms. Lello, who teaches English, mostly to institute juniors and sophomores. Over the years, Ms. Lello has contributed so much to our school. She has organized great trips for juniors, like the trip to Salem, MA, and the trip to Georgia. Students love her outgoing personality and her wacky teaching techniques.
Ms. Lello recently received a phone call informing her that she was picked to audition for America’s Got Talent. When sharing this with her Period 6 junior English class, the students wondered what her talent actually was, besides being an awesome English teacher. She told us that she was a singer, and had been singing since she was about fifteen or sixteen. We were quite excited to be hearing that our English teacher would be on America’s Got talent and wished her good luck.
When Ms. Lello came back to school the following week, we students made her tell us all about it. She said that it was an interesting audition with many different unique talents. She said that the producers had put her into a group with ten other people. She had made it through two rounds, but in the end, the producers said no for this year. Even though Ms. Lello did not make it through to see Sharon Osborne, David Hasselhoff, or that British guy who hates everyone, all of her students were very proud of her. Many of us spoke to Ms. Lello after class and told her she should definitely audition again next year. She said she might just do that. All of us are very proud that Ms. Lello got through two rounds, and we wish her luck in her singing career.
