By Beth Gillette

The Revere High School girls’ track team plans to work hard to improve their personal records and each girls’ personal goals. With more players than last year, the girls track team plans to improve as a whole while reaching new goals such as advancing their personal records. Freshman Natalie Lewis described on her other thoughts on track compared to other sports. "In [other team sports], you need to all work together towards one common goal. In track you're competing a lot against yourself," Lewis said. Lewis also explained that she feels track is “more based on [one] as an individual.” Senior Mackenna Marks stated that the she enjoys being able to practice outside in the spring when the weather is nice. This year's girls track team consists of seniors Mackenna Marks, Kelly Frantz, Sherah Redman, Maggie Harris, Ari Lizanich, Andrea Debs and Sarah Courtad.Although runners set goals for themselves, the team as a whole still has achievements they would like to reach. Team coach and physical education teacher Terry Cistone explained these goals. "Our goal this year [is] to get some personal records and overall work hard and do well," Cistone said Marks said the team looks "strong" due to an addition in runners this year, specifically seniors. Lewis stated how she feels about the team this year. "The team this year looks really good. We have a lot of really good runners, sprinters, throwers and jumpers," Lewis said. The girls track team's next meet is on Tuesday, May 1st at Wadsworth High School.
