New members. National Technical Honor Society inducted new members, May 5. The new inductees were nominated by teachers for membership.

National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) president Johnnie Short served as Master of Ceremonies for the annual Induction Banquet, May 5. Assistant principal Dennis Carrington welcomed guests and students. Nominated by teachers, the 2011 NTHS inductees were Millard Thomas Abbot III, Brandon William Aycock, Zarina Glorice Bullock, Anastassja Diane Davis, Melissa Ashley Ferens, Kemari Shante’ Hanks, Abril Monte Johnson, Ciyana Derazse Johnson, Joshua Deontre McLawhorn, Tiarra Lysshe Mosley, Zachary Ray Pegram, Aaron Matthew Perkinson, Jahmila D. Peterson, Jacob Lowry Ruggles, Blake C. Strickland, Lauren Elizabeth Swilley, Alexis Michelle Wilkerson and D’Angelo Trashad Williams. Inducting the new members were advisors, Ann Behar, Jean Finch, and Jan McCutcheon. Behar also recognized the seniors. Jane Hicks the NVHS Career Development Coordinator closed the ceremony.
