By Millie Whitemore

Returning students arriving at school this Monday may have noticed more fresh faces than just those of the incoming freshmen. Holy Family welcomed six new faculty members to the staff this year. The new teachers include Mr. Haupty for the English and Language Arts Department, Mr. Gonsalves-McCabe for the Theology and Campus Ministry Department, Ms. Flaherty for the Social Science Department, Ms. Lane and Ms. Powers, both in the World Languages Department. Also, Holy Family introduced the new principle, Mr. Gallic. Lane, who teaches Spanish at the first and second levels, said her experience here at Holy family has been incredible. “I spent my school years at a public school so I’m very excited to be at a Catholic high school. I think it really gives students a chance to develop their spiritual lives and identities,” said Lane. This year is her first year of teaching, but she gained a lot of experience from tutoring students during her time at Creighton University. The new teachers at Holy Family have not gone unnoticed. “I’ve never seen this many new teachers at school before. I’m excited to see what they have to offer,” said Junior Haley Yoshida.
