The Hicksville Aces begin their season on March 31, 2009 at Montpelier. The Aces come into the season as a very experienced team. They are starting 7 seniors and 2 juniors all with a varsity letter under their belt. The Aces will be led by seniors Josh Vandemark with 4 years, Zac Slattery with 3 years, Ty Sailer 3 years. Adam Battershell 3 years, Eric Cover 2 years, John Kobee 2 years, and Blas Jasso with 2 years of varsity experience. Dustin Yoder will be the man in middle playing shortstop for the Aces. The pitching staff will be led by Josh Vandemark as he enters his senior year following a very good junior season going 8-2. Ty Sailer will also help pitch has he comes into this year with a high school record of 5-8, along with Dustin Yoder and John Kobee. The lineup will look very good from top to bottom. Zac Slattery will lead off and play 2nd base. Tyler Sailer will hit second and play 1st base. Josh Vandemark will pitch and hit third. Hitting clean up and playing Right Field will be John Kobee. Playing 3rd and hitting fifth will be Eric Cover. Htting sixth and playing Center will be Adam Battershell. Playing shortstop and hitting seventh will be Dustin Yoder. Blas Jasso will be hitting eighth and doing the Catching. Batting last but not least will be Justin Miller and playing Left Field.
