By Chelsea Stacey

Kiss Me Kill Me book.

I recently read a book called Kiss Me Kill Me by Lauren Henderson. This book was filled with a lot of drama. In the book, there is a very unpopular girl named Scarlett Wakefield who really likes this guy named Dan McAndrew. She wishes that she could kiss him. To her dismay she gets invited to a party by Nadia, who is one of the popular girls that goes to St. Tabby’s with her. She accepts the invitation in hopes that Dan will be there. She goes out and buys a brand new outfit to impress the popular girls. When arriving at the party, she notices Dan behind the bar serving drinks to the party guests. While waiting for Dan to get done with the other guests, Scarlett snacks on some crisps.
A while later Dan invites Scarlett out on the terrace to talk. While they are talking Dan leans in and kisses Scarlett. As they are kissing, Scarlett feels Dan get heavier and realizes he is falling. Dan drops dead right there in Scarlett’s arms. Scarlett is completely humiliated after this happens and moves away to the private school that her grandmother runs. She has it very rough her first couple days at Wakefield Hall but then she meets a girl named Taylor that helps Scarlett try to figure out how Dan could have died. They come up with a plan to sneak Scarlett into the house that the death happened in. When no one is there, Scarlett goes in and sneaks around to see if she can find any evidence. Finally, Scarlett finds out what might of really happened by two things; a diary entry and peanut oil. What could’ve possibly happened? Only the book can tell. The story goes on into a sequel called Kisses and Lies.
This book jumps around quite a bit, but keep reading and you won’t be able to put it down and when finished you’ll want to read the next one. I would recommend this book to any teenage girl who likes to read about romance and mystery all in one book. I would rate this book with 4 out of 5 stars.
