True to life writing is a dying trend. In an age with texting, video games, and movies, writers have slowly dissipated from the population. Texting is one of the biggest causes in the decline of writing. Through it, we get such lazy shortcuts as “lol” and “idk” which demonstrate that laziness is becoming prominent in society. It may be fast, but few people would actually read a book typed in texting language. The video game world infringes on one’s willingness to sit down and actually write. Many teenagers are too busy playing Call of Duty to even consider writing a work of art. For some people though, it is an inspiration to play a good game. As more and more people fall to trends, writing dies a little more every time.
