By ali gonzalez

Leaving Escondido Leaving home. These two words embody most teenagers’ fear about growing up. Change is a scary thought whether it’s a change in school or a change in lifestyle. Those who read this article have to realize that adulthood is just around the corner. Though it may not feel like it. For young adults an independent life can be confusing, and those who stay behind choose a sorry life of low expectations and minimum wage. It doesn’t have to be that way. Leaving Escondido, leaving home is more than becoming independent it’s about discovering who you really are. Distancing yourself home is an important part of any person life. Taking on the world and winning is something that we all dream about, but if you stay all you can do is dream. You are your own worst enemy. Don’t become that middle age person severing you your fast-food all because they didn’t have the aspiration to go out into the world and step out of their comfort zone. Do not become that loser that still thinks its cool to hangout with the homies and live with mom all the while going nowhere in life. Staying in Escondido leaves you with little to no options. Stay become a lame wanna be gangster, drug addict or just a boring person working for minimum wage. “I always see people on the street hanging out with kids thinking they’re cool and they’re freaking old. I feel is sorry for them because you have to be a huge loser to hang around with high school kid when you’re an adult.” said junior Carlos Munez Sticking to what you know is for the weak. It take a strong person to go out live, learn, and experience all the new thing the world has to offer. Junior Daniel Sanchez put it best when he said “Go big or go home, and I don’t plan to go home.” So have some faith in yourself don’t get stuck. Conviction isn’t something you learn, it’s something you find within. Anyone can do it but only a dead beat would will stay behind.
