Dear Cardozo students, Hey there, it’s your VP, Yvonne Sun! Tis the season to get involved! This December has been quite a busy month with many charity drives and exciting events to keep you all busy. The week of December 5th to December 9th was our annual Toy Drive. We filled several large boxes with donations ranging from books to stuffed animals to puzzles. The new toys were sealed and sent to Toys for Tots and local hospitals. It was a really successful toy drive and we hope that the children will enjoy their new toys! Another drive we had was the Coat Drive from December 12th to December 16th. Quite a few coats and jackets were donated by you guys so we hope that they will be given to families that need the warmth this winter. Lastly, our current drive (hosted by the P.E.T.A club) is the Animal Food and Toy Drive from December 19th to December 23rd. Our furry friends want to be happy this holiday season so please donate any pet treats and pet toys! As far as events go, Cardozo is chock full of them! December 16th was our annual Multicultural Show. As usual, it was one of the most successful shows of the year and we even sold out at the door!!! The night was full of lovely musical performances and exciting dance routines from our very own students. Great job to everyone who contributed to the show including Ms. Luna, Leadership, staff, and of course Stage Crew! We couldn’t have done it without you guys! Also, the Holiday Show this week is features festive musical numbers from the Cardozo Senior Band, Jazz Band, Chorus, the Dynamix, dance, and many others! Speaking of holidays, let’s not forget the Holiday Candy Cane Grams! Similar to our Valentine’s Day deliveries, leadership will be delivering a candy cane and message to your special someone, your friends, or your teachers for the price of $1. Deliveries start Thursday December 22nd! What a way to kick off the Winter break! That’s all for now Dozo! Have a wonderful holiday and a happy new year!
