Admirals get rady for game.

The Admirals shut down Bearden last night by finishing strong with five goals in the second period. Dakota Christian led them with 24 blocked shots, the team was 13-13 on face-offs. Both James Marchuk and Gage Despins had hat tricks on the night. Au stin Scheidt, Karl Petrow, and Cody Jenike defended of 32 hits combined. The first period started off slow and the Ice Dogs took a one to nothing lead. However the Admirals came right back and put one in the back of the net by G.Despins. L.Despins and Petrow assisted. The team went into the intermission with a penalty for tripping. . The Bulldogs were silenced in the second period with Marchuk’s 3 goals and one assist. “We scored early and kept on the attack,” said Marchuk. The Admirals had a total of 26 shots on goal and put 5 in the back of the net. The start of the third period was another great period for the Admirals by adding two more goals to their 8 to 1 lead. Then late in the third period a checking from behind penalty was called on Detchemendy. This turned in to a misconduct call when Detchemendy punched a Bearden defender in the face and 10 minutes tacked on to the 2 minutes for checking from behind. Detchemendy said “I was out there and Bearden was pushing and shoving the whole time. Finally I had enough and punched the kid in the face.” The final score was 8- 2 the Admirals add another win to make their season record 2-0-0. The Admirals next game is the December 2 against the Warriors.
