Restaurant: Siu's Asian Bistro Located off of Route 29 at the WesTech Village Center, a brand-new restaurant has recently opened up next to the new Hilton Gardens Inn. Siu’s Asian Bistro makes up for its small size with an enormous menu encompassing aspects of Japanese, Chinese and Thai cuisine. The East-Asian style ambiance and adorable sushi bar makes for a delectable and relaxing meal without having to pay a fortune. Even better is that Siu’s also has timely take-out and delivery as well. I recently ordered a few of their sushi specials for delivery, and was more than pleased with the price, delivery time and quality of the food. Unlike many Chinese take-out restaurants, Siu’s food isn’t coated in a sheath of grease and leaves you feeling comfortably satisfied, rather than weighed-down. Movie: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows As an avid Harry Potter fan, I was impressed but not overwhelmed by the first part of the last movie in the highest-grossing series in history. For those who are unaware of the plot – beware – this one is a lot darker than Harry Potter movies past. Unlike in the past six years, Voldemort is more powerful than ever and Harry is wanted by the Ministry, leaving him unable to return to Hogwarts for his final year. On the run with his two loyal comrades, Harry searches for the remaining horcruxes in order to kill He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named once and for all. Director David Yates succeeds in capturing the dark and suspenseful essence of the final chapters as the most anticipated and complex events of the series begin to unfold. Artist: Weezer This being their first release in over five years, some may expect Weezer to have lost the edge and legendary sound they were originally recognized for. However, their new album, Hurley , is surprisingly impressive, both in lyrics and melody. In this album, the eccentric, Pop-meets-Alternative-Rock band manages to maintain the unique sound that they first introduced us to back in 1994 while incorporating new elements to the sound. Nearly every song on the album is a collaboration with other artists and songwriters, giving Weezer new perspectives and lyrical elements in their music. The album has become quite popular, especially compared to their other albums.
