Upcoming Biology Club at Keystone?

http://my.hsj.org/schools/newspaper/tabid/100/view/frontpage/schoolid/384/articleid/280270/upcoming_biology_club_at_keystone.aspx

By Audrey Kuronya

Pamela Kreis is a science teacher to hundreds of students here at Keystone. When students enroll in one of her classes they can expect no less than an email welcoming them to her class, exams and papers graded on a very timely basis, and quick responses to messages. The future does look busy for Mrs. Kreis as she attempts to start a biology club at Keystone. The idea of the biology club all started when the National Association of Biology Teachers decided to create and begin a program that supports biology clubs all over the country. Also, recently at a Keystone Stakeholder’s meeting one enduring question was, "How can we create and foster a sense of community for our students?" Mrs. Kreis thought that a biology club would be a great way to do this. The fifty students who have already taken the biology club survey all seem quite excited and eager for a biology club. This club would provide students with information, activities, communication with other Keystone students, and it certainly would look incredible on college applications. In addition, the club hopes to award one very lucky graduating senior a $500 book scholarship. The students who have already submitted the survey can only hope that even more will do the same. For the students who like the thought of a biology club, take a minute and fill out the survey. It will most definitely help make the Biology club a reality. You do not need to be enrolled in a biology class. All you need is to be a student at Keystone in the fall of 2009. If you are interested and like the idea of a biology club, take a minute to complete and submit a survey using the link below. http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=P2mGCgiizjH3VejbmyAOkw_3d_3d The survey will be available until July 1st. The Keystone Connection has been viewed times since 18-OCT-2008.
