    At the Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest in San Marcos this past week, the following students received first divisions on their solos: Rydell Walthall and Jerome Taylor, while  Warren Willis was s econd division on his solo, and the f lute trio of Lauren Shelton, Christina Martin, and Anita Rodriguez won a f irst division for ensemble. The b rass sextet of  David Daniels,  William Huneke, Michael Kerley, Cherie Scott, Rydell Walthall, and  Aron York was also a f irst-division ensemble.     I was very pleased with the results because earning a first division at state is very difficult. ]]> Tue, 02 Jun 2009 14:43:26 GMT
