Hairy lobsters and walking sharks?! As humans venture deeper and deeper into the sea, the creatures seem to get odder and odder. Flying pigs do not seem so far out anymore. Yesterday, a new creature made it’s way onto the television sets of millions. Scientists discovered a shark in the waters of Papua, Indonesia. This shark manages to use its pectoral fins in order to walk around the floor of the ocean. This shark is only four feet long when full grown yet is the only known shark that has this ability. These sharks unlike most are on the bottom of the food chain and eat mostly crustaceans and small fish. The scientists also have discovered 24 new species of fish, 20 new types of coral, and eight new species of shrimp. The Hairy Lobster was recently discovered in the Pacific 900 miles south of Easter Island and 7,540 feet deep into the water. Some call it fur, some call it hair, whatever it is it keeps these lobsters alive. The Hairy Lobster actually feed off bacteria that sticks to their hair. The Hairy Lobsters scientific name is Kiwa Hirsuta. The Mitten Crab was also discovered by Easter Island along with the Lobster, and also cultivates Bacteria.
