By Vanessa Gallardo and Daisy Fernandez

Daisy Fernandez
Ruben Ramirez up at bat and swinging while Marvin Ceja anxiously
waits to make a run at home.

Weird batting stances from Harbor Teacher Prep. Academy is how the inning started off. Rancho Dominguez struggled to get out the top of the first inning. With many walks given to score two runs in the first inning HTPA was on top. Lobos tried picking their own team up by encouraging each other. Even the outfielders could be heard yelling pure words of encouragement. Parents sat in the stands full of excitement watching their sons play. Even Principal Lead, Veronica Aragon was there to support our Lobos. The first inning was Ranchos warm up inning because after the bottom of the first, the game took a change. The fans cheered on the boys and clapped after each good play was made. Even the bases, Josh Rodriguez a sophomore, would often steal. With a pitching change from Elik Salgado, a freshman, to Ruben Ramirez, a sophomore, the Lobos began limiting the other teams hits. A bombing two run home run way over the fence in the left field direction by Ayrius Brown, a junior, hit his first over the fence homerun. This is his second in the season. This was the only home run of the game; all of the players had a good game and gave a nice performance for their fans. The final score was 7-2 giving the Rancho Dominguez baseball team another win. The team felt as if they played well but there is always room to improve. The next games are expected to be more of a challenge. They’re planning to win against Animo Venice in their next games. GO LOBOS!
