The whole Christian and ‘Tebowing’ thing was just to get your attention. I am the one called upon by God to set my people free,” Tim Tebow said in his interview on Tuesday. The announcement comes as a shock to many Christians. Tebow had been a bright spot for the Christian faith in an industry where it can be overlooked sometime. “Man, I never saw this one coming. I was hoppin’ on that Tebow bandwagon and ridin’ it all the way to the gates of heaven,” said former coach Tony Dungy. The statement has also brought out a large uprising in the Jewish community. “I mean, I’m glad the Messiah is here and all but, come on! He could have at least waited until he won a Super Bowl. He got rolled in the last playoff game,” said actor Adam Sandler. “Also, does this mean we get to say we told you so?” Tebow did announce that he will still get down on one knee a lot because it is a good way to take a break from all of that football. It is also rumored he has threatened an Old Testament-style smiting of John Elway if he doesn’t back off as well.
