By Lester Sosa

The Venice High Gondoliers came in fourth in the quarter finals of the boys volleyball city championships. Venice lost to El Camino 3-2 with the scores of 15-25, 26-24, 25-22, 15-25, and 15-12. On May 14, the volleyball team ended their winning streak and lost their place in the playoffs, with an overall record of 13-4. According to the setter, Edward Duarte, the team could have performed more efficiently. "There was a lack of communication in the team," said Duarte. In Coach Hunt's view, "The team lost due to El Camino's home court advantage. If it wasn't for that, we probably would have won easily." "The team lost due to El Camino's home court advantage. If it wasn't for that, we probably would have won easily. "Early in the season we were building up and learning. We matured together as a team and got to our full potential. I'm proud of the boys, " replied Coach Hunt.
