By Cassie Steel

From the outside, a convenience store; on the inside, another story. Glance left, and then right, a TV is always visible. Each table is custom made with its own silver, flat screen mini TV. All dining rooms are at different levels. The whole restaurant resembles a maze. Walls are high, and as we gaze at the room in awe a voice is heard. “Hi, I’m Jessica, can I get you something to drink?” Located off Route 22 in Murrysville, Rick’s Sports Bar and Grill is a restaurant most people remember as the Pizza Pub. Moving down the road about a mile helped with the great change for the Pizza Pub. If the new place does not amaze you, the food surely will. I, of course, knew exactly what I wanted, having been a huge customer at the former location. I ordered the infamous pub fries, which are French fries topped with freshly sliced bacon, cheddar cheese and the optional ranch dressing. I also ordered a “personal” pizza with toppings of pepperoni and bacon. If the pub fries were not delicious enough, the pizza just topped everything off. The restaurant is obviously known for its pizza, hence the name “Pizza Pub.” Even better, which I did not think was possible; you can order a pizza with eight toppings for the price of one with just five. How great is that deal? There are also specials on different nights of the week. Tuesday, “all-you-can-eat chicken and steak fajitas; Wednesday is “all-you-can-eat wings” and Thursday is “all-you-can-eat tacos.” “Build your won burger,” “grilled steak salad,” pizza, “pub fries” whatever pleases you- Rick’s Sports Bar and Grill will probably have it. A little pricey, but worth the money, the delicious food is sure to draw you in time and time again.
