The tennis team dominated the Encina Bulldogs, 5-2, on April 10 at the Del Norte Racquet Club, elevating their official record to 2-3. They will tackle San Juan at Rio Del Oro on Friday, April 13, for Friday Night Lights. The Encina meet’s single matches featured a loss for senior Richard Whitney and victories for freshmen Caroline Mehta and Emma Williams and senior Trevor Sutley. The doubles matches included a win for freshmen Lara Kong and Tori Pefferle (women’s), a win for freshmen Brandon Paw and Alex Bushberg (men’s), and a loss for freshmen Chien Ho and Anna Wiley (mixed). “We were just lucky that it didn’t rain,” coach Haitham Batarseh said. “ And there were plenty of one-sided matches.” ]]> Wed, 11 Apr 2012 08:24:36 GMT
