By Danny Lewis

With May came the release of the 2007 yearbook and the after school yearbook Hawaiian luau. Hundreds of students walked into the Desert Edge Gymnasium waiting on their yearbook. As they entered the gym, students were handed leis and a pen to sign yearbooks with. The first thing you heard among everyone’s voices was tropical music. There were tables that were in alphabetical order by last name in which the yearbooks were located. It sounded like everyone was having fun as students had memory conversations throughout the gymnasium. Inside there were a few activities such as hula hoops and a coconut bowling game with pineapples as the pins. Then as you entered the courtyard, it was set up as a tropical paradise. Smoothies and other refreshments were being sold at the window. There were tables in which students were spending their time with each other. Hot dogs were given to the students in exchange for a ticket that everyone was handed to them with their yearbooks. The yearbook signing party started at 3:15 and ended approximately 5:00. The yearbook committee did a great job in hosting the yearbook signing party. Now another year has come and gone. May the next yearbook bring excitement in our school?
