By Christopher Barrile

Monica Martinez

In exactly 27 days we will walk across the stage as we receive our Regents diplomas, or Regents diplomas with distinction for many of you. Though, when you look down at your diploma, you will not see a piece of paper from the state of New York. You will see the memories of it all. I see Cross Country Practice at 8 in the morning. I see Jess falling on the bus. I see Brian squeaking his turtle at his locker. I see Kara and Amanda at the Breakfast table.. probably listening to AFI or Tegan and Sara. I see Pat ripping off his pants while making techno sounds. I see me and Kristina in the back of Hans' class, not paying attention. I see Ike screaming at me to "SWIM FASTER!". But most of all I see people. I see people who I have spent the last 4 years of my life with. Honestly, I would not have it any other way. Da Vinci showed us exactly what high school is all about. Friendship, drama, bad lunches, and copying homework. If I were given the chance to live these four years again, you can bet that I wouldn't change a thing. I have grown to love all of you, in your own special ways, & I feel honored to be a part of all of your lives, no matter how small of a role I may have played. I am proud to be apart of the graduating class of 2009. Here at the End of All Things.
