			<title><![CDATA[Make spring break great while stuck in town]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[ <div class='ArticleAuthor'>By Paul Albani-Burgio & Hannah Tschumper</div><br>Many students look forward to spring break, eagerly counting down the days until it arrives and they can leave town for a much needed vacation and change of scenery. However, for those students who are not lucky enough to be leaving town on vacation, spring break can seem daunting. After all, what is there to do after you have completely caught up on sleep and all the latest episodes of your favorite TV show? Well as it turns out, there is plenty to do; from movies and pro sporting events to laser tag and trips to the museum, spring break offers a great opportunity to partake in the many exciting things the Denver area has to offer and engage in some much needed fun and relaxation. Learn About Pirates What: “Real Pirates: The Untold Story of the Whydah: From Slave Ship to Pirate Ship.” This exhibit tells the story of the Whydah, a slave trading ship that was attacked and taken over by the pirate captain Sam Bellamy and his crew in February, 1717. Bellamy sailed all over the New England Coast until the Whydah capsized in a storm off the coast of Cape Cod in April, 1717. This exhibit includes 200 artifacts that have been recovered from Cape Cod including the Whydah, which is the first pirate ship ever to be recovered in U.S. waters. Where: The Denver Museum of Nature and Science, 2001 Colorado Blvd, Denver 80205 When: Daily 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Cost: Timed tickets, which include museum admission, are required for this exhibit. Non-member students pay $13 and non-member adults pay $22, student members pay $7 and member adults pay $9. Tickets can be purchased online at dmns.org. See a New Movie What: See a new movie. The following movies, listed in order of release date, will be playing in theatres during spring break: March 4: “Adjustment Bureau,” Genre: Sci-Fi Suspense, Rated: PG-13, “Beastly,” Genre: Romance, Rated: PG-13 “Take Me Home Tonight” Genre: Comedy, Rated: R March 11: “Battle Los Angeles,” Genre: Action Sci-fi, Rated: PG-13, “ “Red Riding Hood,” Genre: Drama Horror Suspense, Rated: PG-13 March 18: “Limitless,” Genre: Suspense, Rated: PG-13 “Paul,” Genre: Comedy Action, Rated: R Where: Holllywood Theatres at the Streets at Southglenn. When: Check movie times online at gohollywood.com or in The Denver Post entertainment section. Cost: Student tickets cost $8.00. Discounts: There is a coupon in the Arapahoe Herald on page 10 for a buy-one-get-oneoffer. Tickets are also half price on Tuesdays. Be A Kid Again What: Laser tag, bowling and arcade games at Brunswick Zone. Trampoline fun at Jump Street. Where: Brunswick Zone (9255 Kimmer Drive Lone Tree, CO 80124) and Jumpstreet (7969 E Arapahoe Rd. in Greenwood Village, CO 80112). When: Brunswick Zone is open from 9 A.M. to midnight Monday on Friday, 8:30 A.M. to 2:30 A. M. on Saturday and 8 A.M. to midnight on Sunday. Jumpstreet is open from 11 A.M. to 9 P.M. during the week and 11 A.M. to midnight on weekends. Cost: At Brunswick Zone bowling time can be purchased either by the game ($3.99 per game on a weekday and $5.29 per game during the night or weekend) or in one-hour blocks (an hour of bowling costs $19.99 on a weekday and $29.99 on the weekend or during weeknights). Laser Tag costs $3.99 per person from Sunday at 5PM through Friday at 5 PM and $4.99 per person from Friday at 5 PM to Sunday at 5 PM. On weekends, one hour of jumping at Jumpstreet costs $12 on weekends and each additional hour costs $6. On Mondays and Wednesdays the price drops to $8 per jumper and on Tuesdays the price drops to $10 for two hours of jumping. Discounts: Every Monday from 9 pm to close, bowling, hot dogs and small soft drinks are all just $1 each at Brunswick. On Tuesdays, arcade games and laser tag are half price.
