What this Privacy Policy Covers
This Privacy Policy covers ASNE's treatment of personally identifiable information that ASNE collects when you are on the my.hsj.org site. This policy does not apply to the practices of organizations or schools hosted on the site, or to people that ASNE does not employ or manage.
Information Collection and Use
ASNE collects identifying information when a school registers to host a media
site on our site. When you register with my.hsj.org, we ask for your name,
e-mail address, school address, phone number, fax number and specific information
about your school. Once you register with my.hsj.org and sign in, you are not
anonymous to us. ASNE also automatically receives and records information on
our server logs from your browser including your IP address, my.hsj.org cookie
information and the page you requested. ASNE uses information primarily to
identify its users.
Information Sharing and Disclosure
ASNE will not sell or rent your identifying information to anyone. ASNE may send identifying information about you to other organizations or people when: we have your consent to share the information; we need to share your information to provide the product or service you have requested; we need to send the information to companies who work on behalf of ASNE to provide a product or service to you; we determine that the product or service offered is compatible with the goals of ASNE and the ASNE High School Journalism Project; we respond to subpoenas, court orders or legal process; or we find that your actions on our Web sites violate the my.hsj.org Rules of Conduct or any of our usage guidelines.
Cookies
ASNE may set and access my.hsj.org cookies on your computer. Other organizations do not have access to ASNE's cookies.
Sometimes we use third-party advertising companies to serve ads when you visit
the site. These companies may use information (not including your name,
address, email address, or telephone number) about your visits to this and
other sites in order to provide ads about goods and services

Your Ability to Edit and Delete Your Account Information and Preferences
ASNE gives you the ability to edit your my.hsj.org account information at any time. You may request deletion of your my.hsj.org account by contacting us at the address below. ASNE maintains separate records internally; editing the information online or having us delete the my.hsj.org information would not necessarily affect those internal ASNE records.

Your my.hsj.org information is password-protected for your privacy and security.
