As the School Year Starts

Summer closes and the school year takes off. I was so excited to come back and see my friends as I walked through the front door I couldn’t help but smile as memories flooded back and thinking of the new school year gripped me with anticipation. Now as school is becoming more routine people ask silly questions like, “When’s the first three day weekend?” or. “Is it too early to start counting down till summer?” I can’t help but laugh and be glad for the school we have.
The seniors are now on their mission trip in Milwaukee then to Devils Lake State Park near a town called Baraboo in Wisconsin and Noah’s Ark a water park in Wisconsin Dells. Growing up in Wisconsin all these places are very familiar to me. One of the funniest things is I was talking to someone about where the seniors are going and they told me Milwaukee, Wisconsin now you have to realize Missourians and I’m sure some other places too pronounce the L in the word Milwaukee where as people in Wisconsin don’t say the L so it’s pronounced Miwaukee. So, I just had to laugh at the people that don’t say it right, but how would they know? Any who! Getting back to the seniors it sounds like ton’s of fun. They get back next Monday.
Today was our first chapel at the beginning of the day. I have to say it was pretty challenging to wake up and keep my eyes open but the speaker was great! He had so much energy and like Mrs.Carr said “He‘s a contagious Christian.” It is so wonderful to have a school where we can pray and worship openly.
So, the new schedule is crazy short like all the classes go by super duper fast. I like having three electives though. As the school year goes on I’m just continuing to get excited for school and I hope you guys are too!!
