Justin Kline smiles for the camera at one of "The Virginity Hit" premieres. -

From high school plays and speech performances to the big screen, Justin Kline has made it.  A graduate of Audubon High School in 2008, the fine arts fanatic traveled over 800 miles to attend the University of New Orleans.  There, Kline discovered his love for the behind the scenes action of the production of movies.

He landed many jobs working on production crews, but one job in particular would change his life.  One of the producers he worked for was the casting director for “The Virginity Hit” under the production of the well-known actor Will Ferrell.  Kline must have made a lasting impression on that producer either through his spunky wardrobe or his quirky attitude because the producer asked him to do an audition tape.  That tape single-handedly gave him his first role in a major film.

Kline acted as himself for his role using some of the improvisation skills he acquired in high school.  “I never read the script,” Kline explains, “I would just show up and film.”  Kline put a lot of work into acting for this film and said that the people he acted with were “fun to work with.”  During the first two months of filming, the cast was made “to all live together in one house” where they were instructed to film anything and everything.  Acting, however, was never originally part of Kline’s dream.

This wind tunnel of events changed Kline’s decision on his occupational direction.  Kline’s intentions for going to New Orleans were to make it big in either production or stand-up comedy, but landing this role in “The Virginity Hit” changed his whole perspective.  “I never considered acting until now,” he eagerly explained,” but now it’s all I want to do.”

“It’s such a dream.”  And that is exactly what it is for Justin Kline.  He went from small town Iowa to the big screen while trying to fulfill his passion for film production. He shows us that with hard work and heart, all of our dreams can come true. Hopefully we will see “The Virginity Hit” in a theater near Audubon soon! Keep your eyes and ears open for the next Justin Kline hit.
