At-a-glance

I know that everyone has to get them out eventually, but having your wisdom teeth pulled might be one of the most painful teeth-pulling experiences you will ever have.  Now, personally, my mouth has gone under a lot of construction over the years, from braces, to expanders, to gum surgery, and having pretty much all of my baby teeth pulled, but wisdom teeth was a whole other story.  And so I will share with you my own personal experiance.
The surgery itself was not so bad.  You're out like a light almost immediately and can not feel a thing.  Like most surgeries, it only feels like a few seconds later (even though it usually takes twenty minutes or so), and my mouth felt incredibly numb and swollen.  After the numbing and bleeding subside, that's when the real fun begins.
I had a horrible taste in my mouth for days.  I was barely  able to eat anything, solid foods mostly, and my jaw was in dire pain.  I learned the hard way why the doctors tell you to hold off on the harder foods for a while.  A few days after the surgery I thought it would be okay to try eating more solid foods.  Unfortunetly, I got food caught in the open wounds of my gums and could not get it out, which put my jaw into even more pain.  Luckily though, I had a check up appointment a few days later, and was given a water-squirting syringe to flush out the pain.
Of course, the reason why I am writing this three and a half weeks after my procedure, is to tell about my personal experiance with the pulling of wisdom teeth as a whole.  Although, regardless of how I may have made it sound, it is not horribly terrible, as long as you know how to take care of the wounds, but often times it really all depends on who you are.
