Thutch’s Corner—the wise words of taylor hutchens
The topic of which sport is the toughest to play is present every year. Is it Baseball, Football, Basketball, or Golf? If really depends on what sports you have or have not played.
Football may be the toughest sport to play physically because you put your body in risk of being tremendously hurt. Concussions have been more and more apparent over the past years. You may not have to be in the most physical shape to play the sport because 300+ men play the game. They may be “fat” but they are some of the strongest.
Basketball is probably the easiest sport to play because all you have to do is be in shape. If you can make a lay-up and play defense you can make a basketball team and play. Defense is the key. If you are a solid defender you will have a good chance of playing.
Now golf may be one of the tougher sports to play because the game depends on your swing. If your swing is off one day your swing will affect your game the whole day. You have to have the right mental mind state to have a good round of golf.
I personally believe baseball is the toughest sport to play. You are trying to hit a ball moving 90 MPH with a bat that’s barrel is circular shaped. You have fans all around you screaming their heads off trying to distract you. Not only do you have to worry about a fastball, the pitchers will mix it up and throw a curveball or something off speed. You have to adjust to a ball that changes about 10-15 MPH in speed. Hitting a ball you can barely see is the toughest thing you can do. You have to watch the movement of the seams to pick up if the ball is a fastball, curveball, change-up, or knuckleball. This is why I believe baseball is the toughest sport to play.
