The website Facebook is the most well-known to high school students by far. Why? It is the number one social network in the world. Why does everybody want to be a part of it? That is up for discussion, but it may be the fact that people can become popular from socializing with their friends more than when they just get to see them in person. It may also be because it allows long distance relationships to work and for the two to socialize. Keeping in touch with family is a definite cause of members on Facebook. We all know that celebrities use it for public recognition and attention from fans. Celebrities may use social networks to show the people how they live. Facebook can keep fans occupied and in touch to a ver personal level. The number of Facebook members only increases. Maybe, some people just simply have too much free time in their lives.

What are the main reasons people are drawn to Facebook? It's an interesting subject to discuss in class with students and surely many of them use and know a lot about Facebook. We could even try to figure it out nationally on why people have Facebook in high school. It might not be any that I have thought of. My opinions and thoughts can be way off.
