Confidence is such an attractive quality. It shows the positive outlook a person has on themselves. It means they like who they are. However what if a person likes who they are a little too much?

I had a class with these two people, we’ll just call them William and Jessica. They weren’t dating, but they were really close friends which equaled twice the headache for the rest of my class. Every day Jessica would walk in and ask someone “Don’t I look amazing today?” and when they didn’t answer she would get mad and say “Don’t hate because you can’t look like me!” or something similar to those phrases. William, on the other hand, would come in class with a different girl on his arm everyday and when she left he had the nerve to flirt with another girl in the class. One time I overheard him talking to one of his friends and he claimed he could get any girl he wanted.

Even though these two and I never exchanged conversation, they angered me. Let us think logically here. Everyone has a different taste in guys or girls. Therefore, William is over estimating his ability to “get any girl he wants”. As for Jessica, she should know that just because a few guys think she is gorgeous doesn’t mean the whole world does. For people like me, a personality means far more than looks ever will.

This message is for people like William and Jessica, get over yourself!   You are not the most amazing thing walking around on this earth. I personally think the more confident and less cocky (there is in fact a difference) a person is, the more respected they will be.
