Soles 4 Souls is an organization that collects slightly used shoes and gives them to needy families all over the world.

   A group of students from Farragut’s Leadership Initiative class has taken up this cause. Senior Hannah Chapman, and juniors Sarah Lutz, Maddie McMurry and Jenna Moskal want to collect as many pairs as possible. They have been getting the word out using flyers that they posted at school  or put in mailboxes around their neighborhoods.

   “We tried to think positive going into the project because it started out slow, but we’ve had a great turnout so far and are hoping for more,” said junior Sarah Lutz.

   Soles 4 Souls will be finishing up in the next few weeks. So if you have any shoes that aren’t too old and rugged, bring them to either the first floor office or Mr. Demarco’s room.
