Blocking websites is a way to get students to stop using inappropriate stuff on the computers during school.
“I think they block most programs we teens like to go on because there might be some inappropriate stuff on there,” Michael S. said.
The school computers are mostly used for research, projects, homework, and any other type of school related stuff. There are many websites that are blocked on the school computers. Most of those websites are inappropriate.
“If I could change anything about the school computers, I would unblock all the websites that are blocked,” Gaby B. said.
Another reason why most websites are blocked is so that the teachers know the kids are working and not playing around. The search engines the school prefers are Elibrary, NetTrekker, and Worldbook. All programs on the school computers are usually educational or have something to do with researching.
“I think they block most of the programs so we don’t play around and we actually do our work,” Gaby B. said.
