The Hunger Games by Suzanna Collins – Staying on Amazon’s top 100 charts for 472 days, The Hunger Games by Suzanna Collins has been a huge hit worldwide. In a world where twelve teenagers are chosen to fight to the death in a gladiator-like style, these novels emphasize the abuse of power that exists in societies; while thoroughly entertaining with each page. The Hunger Games is definitely one to add to your wish list.

Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin – Author, George R.R. Martin, creates a vivid real world; well draw characters that you will get emotionally attached too; and a complex but coherent plot keeps you eagerly turning the page. In a land where summers can last decades and winters a lifetime, trouble is rising and war is brewing. Beyond the Wall which protects the Kingdom, sinister and supernatural forces are massing, and the inside is no better when several people lay claim to the Throne.  A long book, with a slightly mature reading level, and readers will not be disappointed upon reaching the end.

Will Grayson, Will Grayson by John Green & David Levithan – Two well-known authors manage to wow people again with their novel of Will Grayson, Will Grayson, a story of two Will Grayson’s whose lives intersect in different ways. Dealing with topics such as identify-issues, high school horrors, and life in general between the eyes of two teenage age boys. Will Grayson, Will Grayson manages to combine both honesty and humor, and is definitely one you should check out.

 Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare – In Victorian London, Tessa Gray is thrown into a world of vampires, warlocks, werewolves and other supernatural beings. Tessa only wishes to find her brother, but when she is abducted, Tessa realizes that she is not the girl she thought she was, and has more of a place in the strange world she discovered. Cassandra Clare, bestselling author of The Mortal Instruments series, pleases fans once again with her newest installment.

Divergent by Veronica Roth – Being compared to such books at the Hunger Games, Divergent brings a completely new story to the shelves of YA novels and gaining more and more popularity each day. In future, you have to make a choice at sixteen: to pick one of five factions, each dedicated to the cultivation of a particular virtue. Beatrice has to choose staying with her family or being who she really is. Since she can’t have both, Beatrice makes a choice that shocks even her.
