Title: The Fault in Our Stars

Author: John Green

Genre: YA Realistic Fiction

Rating out of 10: 9

Summary: The Fault in Our Stars is the story of Hazel, a sixteen year old girl with terminal cancer. Ever since a tumor shrinking miracle drug bought her a few more years, she lives her life with an unknown expiration date. But one day at a cancer support group, she meets Augustus Waters, and her life is instantly changed.

Opinion: Heartfelt and touching, The Fault in Our Stars has definitely been added to my list of favorite books. The portrayal of teenagers with cancer is realistic and insightful. It is the kind of book that I could read multiple times, and realize something new with each re-read. Warning: This book is a roller coaster of emotions, and may have you laughing one moment and crying the next.

If you enjoyed .  .  . any of John Green’s previous books (Looking For Alaska, Paper Towns, An Abundance of Katherines) you will love TFiOS.
