Success has been and will continue to be defined as getting up one more time than what you’ve been knocked down.  I’m a real competitive person, in fact my last blog was about my love for competition.  But success doesn’t come to you without your faults and slumps, that’s why you have to work hard day in and day out. 

            I love basketball and my goal for the year was to make the varsity team, I accomplished my goal with hard work and many hours.  As a team we did a pretty good job and I did pretty good as well.   With the good year we still could have done a lot better, we got 6th place in district and my numbers weren’t all that great.

            For next year my expectations are really high for myself and the team.  For myself, my goal is to make the 1st team all-district team.  For the team, my goal is to make playoffs and advance to the state tournament.

            To accomplish these goals I will have to work extremely hard, and I will have to sacrifice some things.  For this part of my life all I want to do is be successful in the game I love, basketball.  I am willing to do whatever it takes to make these dreams become a reality.

            You can be successful in anything you do from school to sports, and even from your job to your household.  When you are successful it’s the greatest feeling in the world, like when the coach told me I made the varsity team, it was one of the best feelings in the world, because all my hard work has paid off. 

            Success makes you feel like you’re on top of everything, but remember this, that when you’re on top there is always someone that is trying to ring you down.  So with that said, don’t let those people bring you down, just continue to work hard and continue to be successful.
