Pinterest; Interesting or a Pain?
The iconic Pinterest logo is becoming as familiar as the Facebook logo and almost as addicting according to blogger Hannah Escobedo. - Courtesy Google Images

Pinterest, a new social networking site has recently risen to the level of Twitter and Facebook. Basically a virtual bulletin pin board for all of your interests, this fairly new site’s goal is to “to connect everyone in the world through ‘things’ they find interesting.” Being a 17 year-old with a desire to stay connected with the world, I eagerly signed up to see what this new culturally accepted website was really all about.

I spent two hours of my time when I first visited Pinterest. Literally, EVERY picture was appealing to me, varying from wedding dresses to DIY crafts to outspoken hairstyles. I quickly but surely became addicted to this website; in any moment I could, I would sneak a peek at the Pinterest app on my itouch, or any computer I could find in that case.

Pinterest was more of a priority to me than Facebook, Twitter, or even Tumblr. This lasted for about 3 weeks, and then I started noticing something disappointing. I was starting to see the same pictures over and over and over. The more I looked through Pinterest, the more I became bored since I had seen all the pictures already. Eventually, I went back to my regular schedule of being obsessed with Twitter and Facebook.

Pinterest is without a doubt an interesting website that will have you hooked-for a couple of weeks at least. I'm still a fan of it, and I still look every now and then to see if there’s anything new. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who doesn’t have much of a life or has a couple hours to spare each day.
